Andrew joined Troy Foods in 1997 when the business was around £2m t/o and is now a director of both manufacturing businesses. Andrew has been an integral part of the development of the business into new manufacturing sites and product categories.
Prior to starting at Troy, he spent a couple of years as a technical consultant after leaving Fisher Chilled Foods (later Del Monte in York) after 8 years working in dressed salads and sandwich manufacture. His first role in food was at Campbells Chilled Foods in South Wales making chilled ethnic ready meals for JS and Asda at the time of “Listeria Hysteria” scares.
A science graduate, his role is predominantly focussed on the salad business (Technical, NPD and packaging) but has responsibility for key group activities covering Health and Safety, HR, IT and technical. Andrew has 30 years’ experience in chilled foods, about 28 years of which are in dressed salads and dips.
Married with two girls, Elinor and Izzy, he is a keen skier, horse rider/taxi and a “published” foodie.
