The Team

Our Engineering department support all our functions with their savvy wit and hardworking application of their engineering knowledge. They have a good sense of humour, don’t suffer fools gladly and are extremely passionate about getting things working quickly again.

Whether it be fixing a light or attending a major breakdown on a piece of machinery, they are extremely tenacious to ensure the end result is achieved and work collaboratively with Production and other departments on planned and preventative maintenance issues.

They also work collaboratively on complex, long term engineering projects such as the installation of new machinery, from design, quote stage through to completion and running.

They ensure our machines are maintained to maximise efficiencies on the line to create an efficient business for our mission. They are truly honourable people with a passion for the Trojan way of life.

The Role

We are looking to offer a Junior Engineer or an Assistant Engineer the opportunity to learn and develop their skills by working closely with highly skilled engineers. We are looking for individuals with flair for mechanics and engineering, that possess basic Mechanical and Engineering appreciation and understanding.

Successful candidate would be able to demonstrate great analytical and problem solving skills and have lots of enthusiasm to learn in stimulating and rewarding environment. As the Engineering Assistant, you will be highly involved in wide range of activities while assisting more experienced colleagues. You will be actively supporting the normal operations of the business by carrying out timely cost effective repairs and ensuring the continued activity of the production departments.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

- Basic knowledge of machine tools
- Have some experience in Fault Finding (mechanical and electrical) preferred
- Problem Solver
- Good administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of meeting deadlines.
- Positive attitude and lots of enthusiasm
- Methodical and Logical thinker
- Excellent verbal communication

Industry experience as a junior manufacturing, production or process engineer desirable but not necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
- Excellent excel, word and outlook express skills.
- Ability to multi-task / Driven and motivated.
- Previous experience in Fault finding, preferably
- Basic Mechanical and Electrical experience

Hours of work

Rotating shift pattern on a weekly basis; 0600-1400 / 1400-2200, Monday to Friday

Weekend working is required at time and a half
