The Team

The Logistics Team are the flagship of our business here at Troy, carrying our logo, goods and most importantly our reputation across the length and breadth of the UK. They driver safely, have a trailer load of experience and know the roads like the back of their hands. Lead by Dave Walker, Head of Logistics, the team work hard to deliver our goods efficiently.

The Role

This role will be based at our Distribution Hub which is also the Head Office. From here, all raw materials and finished goods are distributed to our factory and customer locations.

The role of the Logistics Co-ordinator is to be responsible for the day to day administration duties of the Logistics Department, providing effective management support. The role is the first point of contact for the Logistics department and ensures efficient use of labour and equipment to meet production and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include;

To ensure all delivery paperwork is prepared and issued accurately
To ensure the system is continually updated and accurate
To be responsible for the booking and shipping of stocks on internal and external systems
To ensure HGV Drivers are communicated with effectively
To manage the daily plan for Veg and Salads site in the most cost-effective manner
To issue the daily service level reports
To work with 3rd party hauliers as required, ensuring they are utilised efficiently
To be responsible for checking orders daily and finalising the next day’s plan, ensuring adequate resource is available
To be responsible for data input, stock shipments and daily checking of stocks and pallet / cage / dolav management
To ensure the Warehouse Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives have the appropriate pick notes for the daily orders
The suitable candidate will have experience in a logistics (either warehouse or transport) office and have excellent IT and communication skills. Ideally you will have knowledge of planning routes, drivers hours and/or a CPC qualification.
