The Team

The Technical Team are a small, hardworking and friendly team. The Role

The main focus of the role is to provide exemplary Technical Services Management to contribute to the smooth operation of the business objectives and targets and in accordance with quality, BRC and safety standards.

To be the “go-to” person on all technical queries raised by the business and our customers. This role will feed statistical and data trending information to the business so that the focus in the factory is managed and resourced according to the main and critical issues.

Main Duties

- Act on behalf of Technical Manager when required.
- Ensure that an effective system of customer focus and be their first line of contact for all issues / queries.
- Effectively investigate and respond to all non-conformance's in a timely manner, within the customers specified guidelines and provide concise response on root cause / corrective action and ensure further training is completed where appropriate.
Process and data analysis (e.g. yield, complaints, weight control), validation and improvement.
- Attend all management meetings and provide feedback to the team raised by daily customer NCR’s or audits / requirements.
- Implementation of customer COP
- Manage compliance to customer codes of practice, BRC and legislation.
- Developing and monitoring HACCP, TACCP and quality systems in accordance with the latest Customer/BRC standards.
- Trending of data and site KPI generation
- To act as a role model for best practice.
- Monitor, control and minimise waste and play an active part in continuous improvement.
- Manage compliance to customer codes of practice, BRC and legislation.
- To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
- To review, audit and challenge factory operations, product quality and systems to ensure that teams maintain the highest standards of food safety and product integrity.
- Liaise with Senior Management Teams with any reasonable requests.
- To effectively assist Senior QA supervisors and motivate and audit a team of QA operatives and their duties
- Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience.
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.

Essential Experience/ Qualifications

- Good English speaking and written skills.

- Previous experience in a Technical, fresh produce manufacturing organisation

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

- Level 4 Food Hygiene
- Advanced HACCP
- Experience of training and developing people.
- NVQ in management or team leading.
- Internal auditing.
- TACCP.
- Degree within science or similar subject
