Salads Manufacturing Site, Hunslet, Leeds, LS10 1DR
We are a private family owned, Yorkshire business with our ‘roots’ firmly in the fresh produce trade. Our organisation is fast-paced, exciting, and dynamic. Due to rapid successful growth our organisation is constantly offering new and exciting opportunities.
The Production Team are the biggest team on site. They are the epicentre to our operations. They are a hard-working and friendly team. They have a knack for ensuring products are made on time, put into the right fast lane for production processing and packing products to our customers specification.
If you are equally as tenacious, have a passion for food and have a high standard of work, then this is the team for you. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation who are pushing the boundaries of innovation in their sector.
In this role you’ll ensure team work is key when producing the best products for our customers. You will have experience in the foods industry, preferably in working with fresh food or processing. You will ideally have been a Team Leader or Production Supervisor previously.
You will ensure your team are trained sufficiently to the business requirements, manage health and safety to a high standard and ensure food safety policies and procedures are adhered to. You will ensure paperwork is completed and handed in at the end of each Production shift. You will also be responsible for reporting issues to the Engineering team in a timely manner to minimise disruption to Production schedules. I should ideally have understanding of Low & High Care and Retail experience, although full training will be provided.
You will monitor the quality of the produce you produce during your shift, you will do this whilst ensuring KPIs and costs are adhered to. You will actively take part in management meetings and be an example for best practice and behaviour for lower graded positions to look up to. Your role will involve spotting talent from the shop floor and ensure these people are developed for the future of our business.
There is plenty of opportunity and scope to develop and move into other roles within the business. You will have a sense of humour, be hard working and passionate about food. We are looking for someone who will be flexible to the business demands and offer competitive package and excellent training and development prospects tailored to your experience and development needs.
So, if you are looking for your next career move in a fast paced environment, then we we’d love to hear from you.
