With BRC and ORGANIC approvals, the Vegetable factory processes a huge range of common root and salad products, receiving deliveries direct from growers and farmers and agents with whom we have developed strong ties over many years of trading.
We also process a wide range of exotic produce lines such as, shallots, asparagus, Pak Choi, cherry tomatoes, speciality mushrooms, celeriac, baby corns, sugar snap peas, mangetout, chillies, chantenay carrots.
The site cleans, peels, and cuts these into various shapes and sizes before they are shipped to food manufacturers for use in soups, sauces, ready meals and salads.
We endeavour to develop relationships with growers from farms within an hour’s drive of the site to minimise food miles as best we can, recognising a flexible approach to procurement is essential to meet the seasonally changing demands of maintaining product safety, product quality and the commercial expectations of our customer.
Our customers are predominantly in the manufacturing sector, although packaging formats and packing lines are also suited to supplying food service and retail markets.
